So I just got done with my post and started cruising the blogs I follow daily and I was surprised by a wonderful blog friend Debby at The Gathering Nest with this award!! Thanks Debby, you are so kind. Since it is such a gloomy day and I really have blog time this morning, I will follow
suit and list 5 things that I really LOVE. I will also send this award to 5 blogger friends that I follow all the time. If you 5 are too busy and don't have time to do all this crazy blog stuff, just enjoy the award and know your blog is wonderful and I have enjoyed meeting you and treasure your friendship in this blogging world!
6 things I love: 1. family 2. quiet time 3. God 4. flowers 5. my little bit of heaven where I live. 6. stained glass, mosaics
I would like to send this award to: 1. The Fabric of Sweet Repose 2. Cohagen Chronicles 3. Keetha's Eclectic Stuff 4. Scattered Interests 5. This Girl's Art 6. Main Street Memories 7. Laura's gourds, jewelry, mosaics and wings of life 8. It's a July Thing 9. ButterYum 10. The Texas Woman
I have just listed 10, but I never was one to follow the rules exactly! These are 10 of the daily blogs I do read. Now I realize that some of you have already received this award! But not from me. I just want you to know how much I appreciate your blogs.
( So I just spent a bit of time trying to figure out how to 1. put this award on my blog and 2. how to list the URL's of the blogs I follow)
This is what I did.
I first of all copied the pic of the award and put it into a desktop picture file. Then I went to my dashboard, the "layout" page, and I clicked on the "add a gadget" and chose add a picture. Then I went to browse on my computer, found the picture in my file and downloaded it, clicked done.
About putting "links" to other bloggers in the body of my post, I highlighted the name of the blogger. Then at the top of the "compose" page (where you write your new posts) is a bar with icons, the first one is fonts. Click the little green emblem with two white things inside of it. A box will pop up into which you will paste the url for your link. How to get the URL... open another window and click on the blog you want the URL to. At the very top of that page is the http://
Right click the http://..... to highlight it, Left click it to copy. Go back to your own page and insert it in the URL space that the little green emblem provides. Click okay. Voila!!!! (for you Keetha)
Now if this doesn't make any sense at all.... PUNT!!!
THIS MAY BE INFO YOU ALL ALREADY KNOW, BUT I HAD NO CLUE!!! I ONLY SPELLED IT OUT FOR ANY OF YOU THAT HAVE NO CLUE LIKE ME.
Oh my goodness... this is the first "award" I've been given... thank you, thank you!!! You're so kind, and you really made my day!
ReplyDeleteWhy THANK YOU VERY MUCH ma'am!!! I LOVE this award and will gladly take it and PROUDLY display it on my blog. Not sure that I'll remember to pass it along since I'm camping until Monday and a little busier than usual - - - but I am DELIGHTED to have it and honored that you enjoy my blog.

Well, thank you, Miss Lori! This is my first award....(I've secretly been coveting an award, but had no idea how one would get them, especially writing about sagebrush and preschoolers...)
ReplyDeleteNow, I'm going to try to link to 5 other people. I'm notoriously untechnical, and it may turn out badly, but I'll give it a whirl.
Hey Lori,
ReplyDeleteThanks much for the award! I love blogging. My first award is a "stepping stone" for me! (ha! ha!) Your landscape photos are so marvelous! Love your slice! : ) Laura
