9 DAYS......

I can't hardly believe it has been 9 days since I posted last. what have I been doing....
review....
1. working - 9-10 hour days (not every day, but many) cleaning, watering, packing in boxes and hauling to carts, geraniums for the stores that this greenhouse supplies.

2. Took a day to drive to Cedar Rapids in order to finalize flowers and cake for wedding.

THEN I CAME DOWN WITH SINUS INFECTION....

Oh my, this sidelined me big time!!! Down,,,,,, chilling in the house,,,,,, can't go out...... I finally had to go get an antibiotic. I don't know if it was the concentration of flowers in the greenhouse or just that everything is blooming all-at-once outside, but I haven't been this sick since a bad case of pine pollen in Florida, 2007.
Last night was the first time I slept in 3 days. I get too clogged up laying down, so it has been sitting up in a chair, waking up every hour choking.... to death!!!!
I do think today will be better. I have had 3 days of drugs and hopefully with staying down today, I will be able to go back to work tomorrow. I LOVE MY JOB, hopefully I will get to finish the season....

A beautiful day in store for us. 65, sunny, little breeze..... absolutely beautiful...... I will be spending it inside, trying to get over this curse called sinus infection.

So while I was outside, opening up my lungs from waking up with the croup this morning,
I grabbed my camera and took a few yard pics.
I love the Spring flowers that are blooming right now
(well, I love them from a distance right now!)

FINALLY DONE!!!

You may have noticed that I have been MIA from blogland lately. Well, the greenhouse has been a big part of it and this little project right here is the other reason. All free time for a week straight was spent putting together wedding invitations. Bride-to-be lives too far to just zoom home to help and her work schedule made it impossible to get together. So, since I have evenings off (she doesn't), I volunteered...
I will say these were a huge money saver! $350 vs. $60 and some ink. Oh, but they were a time consumer!!!! I WOULD do it again though....

We picked these up at Michaels Craft store....
Printing part.... printed the directions cards, response cards, mailing labels, return envelope labels, and the invitation...

I could not get the templates that they have you use on the company's online site to work. So I had to dream up a way to get the information on those little cards for response and directions. I ended up getting packaging labels and printing off those with the response and directions info. and sticking them to the cards!!! Kind of a hassel, but it worked!

Then they all had to be assembled, three inserts, double stick tape to the invite, tie a ribbon, seal with a sticker. It was STICKERAMA!!!! I counted 7 sticker parts to each invite. Thank goodness only 60 total were sent out.
Daughter in love came to the rescue for a few hours one afternoon...
She is always smiley.... me,,,,,, not so much!!!

Then it was off to the post office..... Finally Done!!!

T-SHIRT HUMOR AND 40 DAYS PROGRAM....

A girlfriend of mine came into work the other day with this shirt on....

I died laughing..... and then I thought, "I can relate!!"

So we started our 40 Days and 40 Nights, self-improvement program tonight. We all weighed in and by using a number system, the nurse is going to chart our improvement on weight and exercise. Along with all this our pastor has made some handouts fitting scripture to our efforts. There will be recipes also...
This was a great idea for all of us wanting to get back in control of the issues we let go wild.
Anyone can join us. One of my close bloggy friends from Texas is doing it! I am emailing her the information and she is emailing me her weight and exercise plans each week.
If you are interested in doing this also, email me! lrick4444@yahoo.com....
I will get you set up and it's only for 40 Days.... Heck! you can do it!!!!!
