This is who we call momma kitty. She has the WILDEST kittens every Spring (she's pretty wild herself). We never can find her litters until SHE wants us to see them. When they seem to be about 6 week stage, she brings them out of hiding, as if to say, "here they are, now you feed them!" I try to coax them out by putting food and water out for them. There are 5 of them this year and I had to sit in my suv close to the food plate, just to get a pic. They sure are cute when they are little!
I love kittens too, but you know me...spay/neuter clinics...off they go...wish Scratchy would let me have a cat...well, she would let me...but it would only be temporary, like 2 seconds!!!
ReplyDeleteBut the awe-factor sure kicked in...have a sunny day...is it hot out here...?
I agree with spay/neuter clinics, but we need mousers for 4 barns, so we are happy to have kitties, wild ones. And this momma is a good teacher for mice, gophers, moles and an occassional snake....
ReplyDeleteThey're so cute. My cats have to earn their keep too - keeping varmits out of my house - and they're pretty good at it! Which reminds me, I need to make a vet appt for Baby Grace to get spayed. Baby Grace takes care of the inside of the house, while Mr. Blink is in charge of the outside/yard varmits.
ReplyDeleteThey are so cute. What is it about puppies & kittens?
ReplyDeleteMomma is my FAVE of the bunch. That little white bib is just stunning. Let's think of it as being a diamond necklace.
ReplyDeleteHow cute are they!! I love cats -- we have 2. I especially like your little gray one. Thanks for sharing. xo -- Sandy/rhubarb reign
ReplyDeleteThere's something about a black cat...
ReplyDeleteYou've never recieved a "withering glare" until you get one from a black cat! I love them. We have a lot of calicos running around here, but our old momma kitty, Dini (Houdini Marie) is black and smart.
Awwww... they are SO cute. I like the one with the white around his nose and mouth.... and the gray one..... and the one with the white feet...and the all black one. :)
ReplyDeleteAwwwwwwww... I want the little gray one! (no I don't... yes I do.... no I don't.... yes I do... No..)
ReplyDelete:)
Thanks for the info on the thistles. They certainly look like a thriving weed! Don't you wish some of the more "friendly" flowers would grow as prolifically. Take care!
Oh!! They are so sweet, gotta love those kitties. Your new banner is beautiful!
