I became a hosta lover quite a long time ago. When we moved into this 100+ year old house 32 years ago we planted alot of trees for shade. There were corn fields on both sides and in order to put up a machine shed and garage, we needed to add more yard, hence the trees for additional shade. I hated weed eating around the trees so I planted hostas, EVERYWHERE!!! Small ones, big ones, blue ones, light green ones, varigated, striped, textured, you get the picture. Well, now Hosta World is overcome with overgrown plants. I love them, but I am going to have to do some major splitting in the next year. Well, here are a few of my favorites. Names? Nooooo, I just know them by their location, ya know, the one by the big front tree, and the one by the garage. After all, are names really that important when you just like looking at them. So, anyone looking for hostas, I got them...............
You certainly do grow the best hostas. I'll take any extras you have when you split them!
ReplyDeleteOh!! They are one of my fav, have them all over the place. Yours are really beautiful.

Thanks for the pictures. We had Hostas in Chicago and I loved them. Can't grow them in California. Love your glass work. My kids are 30 and 28.
ReplyDeletethese are positively bursting with green goodness... love 'em!
ReplyDeleteI am a plant freak myself. My weaknesses are iris and daylilies, but I have quite a few asiatic lilies too. I've been working on the shady areas and have a few hostas, but none of mine are as large as yours. Yours are beautiful!
