So ya know how guys just kinda know what another guy would like. Of course, makes sense. Well, my son and d-i-law presented my husband with one of those wonderful perfect gifts for Father's Day. A practical gift. One that you don't have to try on or put together or have really no use for. Got it put on a post this weekend and it works great, right down to the hundredth of an inch! You don't have to empty it, just push a button and it resets. What every farm needs. Now no guessing if we have had enough rain or not!!!
YES, we had 1.41" of rain on Saturday, July 4th.
We will leave the old one up just for kicks and grins!
I still like the looks of the old one. Didn't know they made new modern ones!

OK...July Thing.
My birthday is the 17th.
I have an inordinate amount of friends whose birthdays are also in July.
Every time we did anything that was seemingly odd we would just say to the "outsiders" (meaning those people who didn't have a July birthday)
"It's a July thing. You wouldn't understand."
