FOR THE BIRDS

I've had these plates and cups for 30+ years, they came from cleaning out my grandmother's house in Saginaw, Michigan, my birthplace
(not the house, but the city)... They have been in my attic and then they were in Friends Candle Shed garage. Now, back to my house. I had a big brainstorm to turn these cups and plates into little bird feeders. I found some posts (thanks Piper) to mount them onto and thanks to my bloggy buddies' advice, I used Weldbond to adhere the pieces together....

YOU CAN FIND THESE AT FRIENDS CANDLE SHED

  1. Lori,
I love your bird feeder and the photo of it with the beautiful flowers all around it. You obviously have a green thumb.
I am still recovering from the wedding. It was great although hot as hades in our backyard during the reception. There were lots of fans and the guests were gracious and did not complain. I was so busy I did not take a single photo but when the photographer gets hers back to us, I will share. Thanks for your kind thoughts and interest.

  3. Kitt - it takes awhile... I remember after planning for a year, the big day came and went, and it is kind of a letdown. It took me a month to get back to normal (well, normal for me:)

Sharon - the glue is the trick... the Weldbond did real well...

  4. Excellent idea. I just love it! I have been to Saginaw years ago. My husband and I when we got married back in '72 went to Mackinac Island for our honeymoon.
