My problem came when DH (dear hubby) and I were both grabbing for the same shirts (I know, I shouldn't be sharing my wardrobe with him or visa versa!)
So I got this great idea!!!!
I bought my own pack of shirts and a packet of RIT dye and now I have my very own soft comfortable cotton T-Shirts.... AND at $2.00 per shirt.... I can wear these for any purpose; yard work day, paint day, glass cutting day.
If you have this same desire for a soft, cuddly, cotton shirt to wear for whatever, just follow the instructions on the box of RIT. I actually mix the color and shirts in a bucket and then wash them in my washer with vinegar in the water to set the color even better. My next batch I put in the washer is either jeans or towels, full load, to make sure there is no dye left over from the shirts!!!
THE TOUCH, THE FEEL OF COTTON.... LOVE IT!!!!
Nice!
ReplyDelete(Don't worry about the sharing wardrobe with your husband. I wear the Farmer's clothes all the time. In fact, it was a major accomplishment for me, when I lost enough weight to fit into his Levi's! Sad, but true.)
Great idea, thank you.
ReplyDeletegreat idea, he will however want to wear yours if they are blue, or maybe you have him well trained!
ReplyDeleteI love this tip! My skin on chemo needs softness so I'm going in and raiding my hubby's drawer right now!!!

love the idea, i'd have to buy my own, i can't fit into bills (I'm bigger)
ReplyDeleteI have always marveled at the cost difference between woman's T-shirts and man's...I have been doing this lately as well..after all, I am known as the Queen of Comfort! And since my mastectomy, I love love love those undershirts next to my skin..I think they are called A-shirts (otherwise known as 'wife-beater' shirts! Under a blouse or another shirt, they are close to my skin and always feel so comforting :-)
