Our hotel was across the street from Grant Park. All along the park, you can get to pretty much any attraction by the walk paths without crossing traffic.
A look back at the city from the Shedd Aquarium.
I was truly amazed by the buildings and there really is so much to do. A person could spend a whole week in Chicago and not see all it has to offer. I felt comfortable walking the streets and it is really set up for tourists. People were friendly and helpful. We had a great time... more pics to come....

How fun! Chicago has has a lot to offer. I was born and raised there and still haven't been to all the attractions. I'm glad I live a little "up north" now as the city can be very inconvenient.
ReplyDeleteMy husband has raved about Chicago since he had business trips there. It is one of the cities I would most like to visit.
ReplyDeleteI love Chicago, it is truly a gem of the Midwest, the old buildings are amazing, as are the new ones...but you will freeze your butt off in the winter, especially along Lakeshore Drive, but what a huge lake to see, just like the ocean...I wanna go back to market, nuthin like it!
ReplyDeleteI love the skyline of a city filled with sky scrapers!!
