"My passion, Best Friend" and I decided to get going and get something made. I haven't done anything glass for a week and needed to start a project. As you may discover, I don't do well just sitting around. I like to keep my hands busy. So I decided to "dream" up a pattern.
I worked on an few different ideas, but it just wasn't looking the way I wanted it to look, ya know how that is!
Cement poured over me! Dream is the little one.
I used black iridized glass so it has a rainbow effect.
DREAMS REALLY DO COME TRUE!
Oh wow! I've made a few concrete stepping stones and used cut or broken glass in a couple of them, but we did it the OTHER way - - - we poured the concrete into the mold and then embedded the glass in the top of the wet concrete. Your finish looks much smoother than ours did - - -
ReplyDeleteOK, now IS this a stepping stone?
ReplyDeleteI', thinking I'd like to try this.
Lynn, this is how I was taught to make stepping stones a long time ago. There are other ways, but this is how I learned.
ReplyDeletethat iridescent glass is so lovely! nice job, and what a perfect word for it.
ReplyDeleteOH, this is really beautiful. You are so talented.
