TRAVELING COMPANION.....

As I was reading blogs this morning and came across Keetha's (I just love reading her blog) about her laptop, I decided to let you in on how wonderful it was to have a new travel companion with me. We go everywhere together anymore. I can be in touch with the world at a moment's notice all because of one little teeny tiny gadget. Prepaid Mobile Broadband.... you heard me right, see the box! No long term contract!

Sure there is a start up cost,,,,, there always is, but I now can take this baby anywhere and I don't have to rely on anyone else to provide me with service. And as long as you have a firewall installed, I think it is safe to use anywhere. (of course, I don't keep vital info on my lappy anyway). I know this isn't new to some of you, but the idea of no contract might be.

Oh glory days!!!!

  1. Good Mornin' Lori!
Thanks for the info... I think people think, since I am a blogger, I'm computer savvy... Ah, not so much! I love my lap top, and am going to check into this!
    Thank You!

  2. Hi Lori,

After reading your post, I went over to read Keeta's as well.
All I can say is that I hope this gadget is also available where I live , here in Israel.

Enjoy your lappy and thanks for the info.

  4. I saw your comment about this earlier. I too have a Verizon broadband card, but mine IS on a contract and I have a 5 gig a month limit or I pay more. I wonder if your kind is new, because TRUST ME, I asked about a better deal than the one I got.

Do you have a gig limit/month? How does the prepay deal work???? Enquiring minds want to KNOW!?!

Oh - - - and I am soooooo honored that you gave me and my goofy little ole blog a SHOUT OUT on this post! TYVM!!!

  5. We use something like this in Kuwait. Can be plugged into any computer. I think we pay a monthly fee for it, but less expensive than in the States. It works for us as we can move it from the laptop to the home computer. Our home phone stopped working a couple of years ago and no one could fix it -- not the government who said it was a problem from this side and not an electrician who said it was a problem from the Ministry's side. Welcome to Kuwait -- that's what I always say when things don't go right or can't be fixed. HA! Have a great Saturday. Blessings, Tammy
