TODAY....

Today.... you might say I didn't do much, but the few things I did were important to me.

I did my children's sermon on parades; the correlation between parades these days and one parade in particular about 2000 years ago in Jerusalem. The day that Jesus rode a donkey down the street and the crowds of people that gathered, waved palm branches, and shouted Hosanna! Celebrating Palm Sunday.... it is the start of a week of sooo many events in a Christian's life. This to me, is the most important part of my Christian walk, the celebration of Easter.

As I enter this week, I feel my heart being jerked in different directions and emotions. I just can not imagine what my life would be like without being Christian based. Thank you God for all you have done for me, I am eternally grateful.

SPRING....

I'm out of time already. Woke up late! But here are a few signs of Spring that I have found in recent years!

The snow is gone again and we are just left with mud. We need some wind to dry it up. OH, and some warm weather!!!

Okay, so I am trying to watch what I eat, not over do it... After all, there is a wedding in June and anyone that knows me, knows I have struggled with this issue most all my life, or should I say, since I have had kids. Yeaaaa.... the kids are 24 and 26. I was a little skinny minny when I got married, then POOF!!!!





I have no desire to be this small again, but just healthy...



Soooo, I have decided to exercise more, watch my carbs, write down what I eat.....

FRIDAY... REALLY???

About 4pm, I went on my blog and thought, how on earth did it get to be Friday and I haven't posted since Monday... Where did this week go....

So I thought I would recap the week....

Monday, work
Tuesday, work, laundry
Wednesday, work, do dishes, yuck! Bake carrot cake, yum! Do more dishes, yuck!
Thursday, work, clean, dust, yuck!
Friday, work, nap, pizza, yum!

Last week, work was kicking my patootie.... this week, it was better. I am getting used to physical labor again. It really is a good thing!

It has been sunny and 50's for the last few days and I am listening to the weather guy and he just said, tomorrow, 30's and 1-3" snow..... WHAT???? Come on.....
leave us alone Mr. Snowman......

IT'S MONDAY,, SMILE,, IT'S NOT THAT BAD!

I need to be to work in just a bit, but I need to get some bloggy therapy first!

Today, I will be doing alot of this....

planting, planting, planting..... in the indoors.... 70's and humid. This is not a job for you if you are concerned that your hair will turn to mush! The upside: great exercise, great people, good clean (ahhh,,, dirty) fun!

Ohhhh, you little flower, you have got to go....

watering geraniums, debudding (I know, I hate to pick off the pretty buds, but that is the way to get the leafage to grow!)

I love my job!

CURIOUS, STRANGE, I WONDER WHAT CHANGED!

I have found as I have been posting blogs since April 2009, that I have met some of the most talented wonderful friends. The people that leave me comments are people that I never would have had a pleasure in knowing, but through this blog, they have become some of my most dearest friends.
Others stop every once in a while and honestly this is how I view blogs too. I have some I try to comment on daily and others, I skim through every once in a while.
I try to get everyone on my follow list, but I have to admit, I have not been so diligent in the last few months to honor my bloggy friends by posting their blog names on my sidebar. This is just an oversight (okay, kind of a little part of laziness). I truly do not mean it to be offensive to some.
So I have a question, how did my followers go from 60 to 58? Now this didn't bother me at first. But the more I thought about it, I started taking it personal.
Did someone remove their name? did the computer do it for them? did I offend someone? Was someone offended because I professed to be a Christian? Two days ago, 60... today, 58....
I don't get it and I don't know how they did it???

ANY ANSWERS....ANY SUGGESTIONS.....

AND IF I HAVE OFFENDED SOMEONE, I DO APOLOGIZE.....

BIRDIE HOUSE

It has been rainy and ugly outside. The snow is melting at an astronomical rate causing so much mud (maybe the frozen snow was better!) Check out another part of the US regarding mud! Cohagen Cronicles, Mary, is dealing with the same issue.

So, since we are still doing inside projects, DH (dear hubby) decided to put together his Christmas present (well, maybe I actually bought it for him) the other day.

We both enjoy the birds in the area and noticed some Purple Martins last year, close to the barn yard. I found this Purple Martin house last year and thought, let's give it a try.

DOES ANYONE OUT THERE HAVE PURPLE MARTINS IN THE SPRING????

I WISH I WAS AN OWL....

I wish I was an owl, an owl I'd like to be.....

I could fly above the fields, finding mice just for me......

The snow is almost gone and the cats are starting to venture out of the barn.

This cat, different cat from the other post, decided to jump up on this fence post and just stare into the field...

I whistled to get his attention. He turned for just a second, that's all, because he was on a mission.

I WISH I WAS A BIRDIE....

I wish I was a birdie, it's what I want to be.....

They get to fly around all day, ohhhh what fun that would be....

I looked out the kitchen window and this kitty found an easy way get up in the tree, thanks to the snow bank. So this has been a favorite spot for several of them, in fact, last eve there were three of them up there. It has become a new play spot!

Well, off to work early!!! I will visit with all my bloggy buddies this weekend (only working M-F).

MY NEW JOB!

Many of you asked what my new job was. Well, last fall I was asked to work in the Spring at the greenhouse. I was ecstatic. I have always wanted to work in plants perennials and annuals, outdoor plants!

I love it. I started on Monday and couldn't be happier. So, know that I will be posting about my experiences and as soon as I get going, I will also post on hilltopgreenhouses.blogspot.com.

It will be a few days, but then, I hope to bring you pictures, tips, and a flower of the week!!!

If you have any questions about a plant or flower, ask! There are several employees that have been doing this for years and I would be glad to try and find an answer for you. I'm not guaranteeing anything, but I will try!

WORK,,,,,naaaa,,,,,, I look at it as getting paid to do something that is fun, enjoyable, and very interesting. A big thanks to Maria for letting me enjoy work!!!

Okay, I got to get back to the idea of getting up EARLIER, in order to get a few things done before I head off to work!

I haven't been "off to work" since May of 2008. Woman of leisure for 2 years. I have turned into a sleeping-later marshmallow!!!!

As I am excited for work, I JUST NEED TO ADJUST...

So, I am unable to stay on the computer reading blogs this morning, honest, I will catch up with you all.
