I found this chair at our local Good Will and started painting it. The honey stain just wasn't fitting in the color scheme and the seat was really scratched up. So out came the Antique White paint. Now, I have never painted a piece of furniture because I am more of a natural wood kinda gal, but I decided to try this....
So I asked Piper and got to it! 3 coats of paint, one coat of polyurethane, and done!
Then, I got my husband's old Olympian sled, from the garage and coated it with some wood oil.
Hung a little grapevine wreathe on it...
My mom gave me back a little wall hanging I did for her 18 years ago, so I attached it to the chair...
DONE!!!!
AND you know who.... had to get in on the act....
Merry Christmas to you all and Happy New Year!!!!

ReplyDeleteYour have a blessed Christmas and New Year.
The chair is pretty; especially with the black cat sitting in it. I love all the decorations, but you didn't even mention that TERRIFIC snowman painting in the background on the wall. Did you do that? I clicked to enlarge it and I LOVE IT!!!! (I just may try to copy it)
ReplyDeleteThe cat is perfect in the vingette. Have a beautiful Christmas Lori.
